The Different Types Of Coffee Machines
In this post we’ll talk you through the different types of coffee machines available to you here at Brothers Coffee & Vending. It’s important to know what each machine is best suited to, whether you need a high output instant coffee vending machine, or a more traditional and artisanal coffee maker – each machine has its quirks.
I’m going to explain what each machine does with a few suggestions on how it could be used for business purposes. So starting off with the Barista Espresso Machine.
Barista Espresso Machine
Considered the gold standard of coffee making, a barista machine focuses solely on making freshly ground espresso shots. These machines often house their own boilers to save time when dispensing coffee for customers in coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants. Another common feature, found on our entire range of espresso machines, is the steam wand. Now, the steam wand is a great feature to have and is used to foam fresh milk. With the steam wand you can turn a dial to increase or decrease the pressure or aeration of the steam, this let’s you control the amount of froth and creaminess to be added to the espresso shot to make lattes and cappuccinos.
As you can see below, barista machines aren’t just about high performance, great tasting coffee, they look elegant in their own right – so I’m sure we could suit a style and performance machine to your business needs!
To freshly grind coffee beans for this machine you’ll need a coffee grinder, and we have a whole bunch of them for you to choose from in loads of different styles. On to our next type of coffee maker, the Bean to Cup Coffee Machine.

Bean To Cup Coffee Machine
For businesses looking to balance great taste with high output, a commercial bean to cup coffee machine is usually the solution for them. A bean to cup machine is exactly what it does. It takes freshly roasted coffee beans, usually kept in a hopper at the top of the machine, It then has a built in grinder that will grind and tamper into a coffee ‘puck’ ready to filter through hot water. This is all done at the touch of a button, in a short amount of time, so staff can focus on other jobs in such fast paced environments.
As standard most bean to cup machines will come with an LED touchscreen display or cluster of buttons for drink selection. They may even come with up to 3 hoppers to offer a wider range of drink choices including 2 coffee bean hoppers (one for medium roast, one for dark roast) and a hot chocolate hopper. Bean to cup’s are great all round machines that save you time and offer a selection of drinks not limited to just coffee. They also have a self-cleaning programme that can run at scheduled times.
