Recommending the right industrial coffee machines for your business is something that we take deep pride in. Purchasing a coffee machine for your workplace should be something that creates only benefits. It should boost team morale whilst increasing productivity and creativity levels.
Nothing dis-heartens us more than receiving calls from let down coffee lovers, asking if we’re able to help with a machine that they have been sold online. Knowing that they have been sold a machine that can only produce 50 cups a day when they need 50 an hour. Choosing the correct coffee machine for yourself can be a dispiriting effort and it is easy to make the wrong decision without the correct guidance but at Brother’s we ensure that every machine is the perfect match for the desired customer. If you, the customer, aren’t more than satisfied with your machine then we haven’t done our job.
Freshly roasted beans or instant?
In all honesty, freshly roasted coffee beans beat instant coffee every time, if you’re looking to create an authentic Brother’s coffee experience. We would thoroughly recommend using freshly roasted beans (especially our Deja Brew blend). That’s not to say that you can’t get a great drink from our instant range, our instant Colombian blend offer’s a great caramel flavoured, all day drinking coffee.
Fresh or powdered milk?
We always stress to our customer’s, fresh milk is not as daunting as it sounds, the majority of fresh milk machines are cleaned by the simple press of a button, allowing the coffee machine to put itself through a rinse whilst you continue with other tasks at hand.
As easy as fresh milk is to clean, it is worth noting that this must be a daily cleaning routine, whereas with powdered milk we would advise weekly.
How many drinks are you likely to produce each day?
One of the first questions our sales team always ask any potential customer is how many drinks are you likely to produce each day?
There is nothing worse than your business missing out on potential coffee sales due to your machine taking too long to produce that perfect drink when your needs are more aimed towards mass production.
What do your customers expect?
Which will best suit the need of your customers? Are they nipping in for a quick caffeine fix before they get on the road again, or are they after a social sit down over an Instagramable coffee?
If it’s just a quick fix, then a bean-to-cup machine is better for those in busy settings as it does all the work for you at the push of a button. Whereas, a traditional espresso machine takes longer to make but looks more aesthetically pleasing than a bean-to-cup machine.
Training your staff
We promise you that once trained, working with a traditional machine becomes second nature. However, it still does take training and practice so may not be ideal for businesses with a high turnover of staff.
In comparison, a push button bean-to-cup machine requires no skill from the member of staff other than serving your customer with a smile.
Professional installation & support with Brothers
Once you have chosen which coffee machine suits your business needs best, the next step is to think about getting it installed, set up and maintained. Unlike other companies, the aftercare and on-going support is included in our pricing, whether that be on the day call-outs or over the phone support and advice.
Types of Industrial Coffee Machines
Barista Espresso Machines
Brothers recommended choice:

GAGGIA LA REALE ESPRESSO MACHINE The best quality coffee that can possibly be produced, providing that the Barista is up to scratch and knows what they’re doing.
Barista espresso machines are mainly designed for restaurant use or for coffee shops, in environments where there is no compromise for the quality of coffee. This traditionally styled, top-of-the-range model is entirely shaped by light – not only the light that creates copper and steel reflections on its body, but also the suffused light of its LED profiles and its subtle, but suggestive, backlights.
The design delivers a shimmering effect, giving the machine its unique character as well as its scenographic impact: it’s virtually a mechanical sculpture. La Reale is also brimming with cutting-edge technology. Gaggia Milano believes that users shouldn’t have to choose between style and substance; that’s why, in La Reale, both come as standard.
Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machines
Bean-to-Cup coffee machines are extremely user friendly. They uniquely have a built-in grinder, meaning that all you need to do is add your delicious coffee beans to the machine and it will dispense your freshly grinded coffee at the touch of a button. Perfectly suited for the modern-day office coffee culture as well as being able to produce barista styled drinks to sell over the counter.
One of our greatest prides is the barista experience that we are able to create from these machines.

What else should you consider?
With constant innovation in every new industrial coffee machine, it can be hard to keep up with the latest and greatest features. That doesn’t mean the coffee will be better with a brand new latest model, it just may come with features that can help you as a barista or hospitality business. Features you may want to consider when deciding is:
- Does it have a milk frothing system? Most of our systems do have an effective steam wand system that froths milk, as milk is just as important as coffee when making your drinks.
- LED Screen? a touchscreen or digital display can help operate a machine with ease, quick buttons with obvious graphics make learning a new system much easier, these are more common in bean to cup machines to help you make perfect coffee.
- What’s the capacity for coffee and water? Take note of what your estimated output will be as you’ll need to factor in how many coffee bean hopper changes you’ll have to make. This feature goes hand in hand with the dispensing time of each coffee.
- What cleaning will need to be done? If you’re a busy business that doesn’t have the time to hand clean your machine and steam wands, then having a machine that’s programmed to clean itself would offer a clear benefit.
